Brief description of the Partner 

The University of Groningen (RUG) is an internationally oriented university with a rich academic tradition. Since the establishment in 1614, the university has brought forward striving academics, like the first female student, the first Dutch astronaut and various Nobel prize winners.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering harbours a kaleidoscope of disciplines and research strengths. Our programmes in research (and education) range from nanomaterials and biomachinery to astronomy, from mathematics to pharmacy, from neurosciences to computer science, and from molecular and evolutionary biology to marine biology.

Role in the Project

In NAUTILUS project, RUG participates in WP3 and WP7, where it focuses on design on battery-SOFC genset fo be adapted for alternative fuels and assesment of the performance of the designed genset with different renewable fuels.
