PRADS 2022 - Practical Design of Ships and Other Floating Structures

Berend van Veldhuizen from Delft University of Technology (TUD) will represent the NAUTILUS project at PRADS 2022 - Practical Design of Ships and Other Floating Structures Conference that will be held in Dubrovnik in Croatia from 9th to 13th October 2022.

On Wednesday 12th October (at 9:00) he will give a presentation “Comparative Analysis of Alternative Fuels for Marine SOFC Systems” at technical session Mare IV/Energy efficiency I.  This presentation will focus on alternative fuels for the marine industry. He will describe the process of selection of five suitable fuels for a fuel cell powered ships based on availability, technical, economical and operational criteria. This extensive selection process was the first step done under NAUTILUS project before the more intensive research was done on how these fuels can be used in the ship and how much the potential emission reduction could be.
